The Water Oasis was developed on a 25,000sf undeveloped parcel of land within Gilroy Gardens. The Amusement Park caters to children 8 year and younger, the Water Oasis was designed to interest that age group. To develop the water play area, retaining walls were required to maximize space. A 1,700sf wading pool with (2) slides and Vortex spray elements is the most popular amenity. A large Splash Pad from Vortex provides water play events for toddlers as well as older siblings and parents looking to cool off. The Water Journeys feature allows users to manipulate the course of travel of water as it descends along various channels. All of the water is recirculated via pumps to a 4,000 gallon storage tank, sanitized with chlorine and UV filters. The Oasis also features a changing room building with lockers, (4) four cabanas available to rent, concession/sundries cabana, stroller parking areas, drought tolerant landscape as well as Adirondack seating. All of the water play events are tied together via an education program that describes the journey of water and the importance of conservation and protection.
